The National FFA Organization

Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve

TAF students stand in front of a state building in Washington D.C. They were able to attend the Washington Leadership Conference through TAF funds and they learned more about Native American affairs on the hill.

The National FFA Organization is a school-based youth leadership development organization that strives to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. FFA has more than 14,000 American Indian and Alaska Native members, and more than 2,400 Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander members.

TAF is proud to partner with the National FFA Organization to sponsor Native American high school students to attend the Washington Leadership Conference. TAF recognizes the importance of engaging Native youth in all aspects of Native agriculture and is invested in supporting the future of Native agriculturalists.

As a part of engaging Native students, TAF aims to support students in leadership, personal growth, and career success. This is why TAF offers travel scholarships to attend major conferences like the Washington Leadership Conference and the National FFA Convention.

The National FFA Convention is an annual gathering of FFA members from across the United States, where they compete in various agricultural-related events, attend workshops, network with industry leaders, and learn about career opportunities in the agricultural field; it is the largest student convention in the country. TAF attends annually and hosts an InterTribal Student Meet and Greet with students during the convention.

If you’re interested in attending FFA conferences through TAF, follow our newsletter to be the first to know when our applications open.
