
The Tribal Agriculture Fellowship (TAF) proudly serves Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawai’an, and First Nation* Tribal students. TAF fellows study a wide variety of agriculture and are creating a stronger, self-sufficient Indian Country through their leadership and dedication to their communities.
*First Nation students from Canada must be attending U.S. universities and must have Landed Immigrant status in the U.S.

States Reached
The TAF fellows come from 10 different states reaching numerous rural communities across the U.S.

Nations Represented
Our fellows represent 13 Tribal Nations, showcasing a diverse range of perspectives and ecological traditions.

Ag Education
Our fellows are enrolled in 15 universities, reflecting a wide span across various academic institutions.

Their Research
Our fellows pursue a variety of different majors in agriculture from agribusiness and veterinary sciences, to conservation and ag education.

2024 Cohort
The 2024 cohort consist of students pursuing higher education for agriculture extension work, agribusiness, ag communications, and more.
2023 Cohort
The 2023 TAF cohort are currently researching crucial agriculture sciences throughout Indian Country, pursuing doctorates in Veterinary medicine, and studying agribusiness to support themselves and their local communities.
